Planning dental procedures from abroad can be challenging. The biggest uncertainties are time and money, especially when decisions must be made quickly. That’s why it’s crucial to have a realistic plan and not skip any therapy steps to “save time.” Each stage of treatment—like wound healing or tooth response—exists for a reason.
Also, keep in mind that lower prices for dental services in Serbia do not mean lower quality. We use the same materials and technologies as in the rest of Europe. The difference comes from the cost of living and affordability for patients.
Online Consultation Before You Arrive
We understand that it’s hard to trust a dental team you haven’t met in person. That’s why it’s important to ask all your questions upfront—we’re here to help.
The first step is to get a digital panoramic X-ray of your teeth (ortho scan), no matter where you live. It gives us a basic overview of your dental condition.
Along with the scan, please include a brief email explaining what you want to fix—whether it’s a cosmetic concern, pain, loose teeth, inflammation, food getting stuck, etc. Based on this, we will prepare an initial treatment plan and price estimate.
Besides email, you can also schedule a video call.
How Is the Treatment Plan Created?

Using the panoramic scan, we assess your bone and tooth condition and estimate how long the treatment will take. Keep in mind that the scan is not a full replacement for an in-person exam, so the plan may change after your visit.
One common challenge is tooth extraction. After a tooth is removed, the wound needs to heal—this usually takes a few weeks. If a dental bridge or crown is placed too early, it can lead to complications or shorten the lifespan of the work.
If extraction is needed, you have two options:
-
Remove the tooth abroad and come to Serbia after the healing period
-
Visit Serbia twice, with around two months in between
How Long Does Each Procedure Take?
Treatment duration depends on the procedure:
-
Filling replacement: 1–3 days
-
Root canal treatment: at least 7 days
-
Crowns, bridges, dentures: around 7 days
-
Combined work (crowns + denture): up to 14 days
-
Veneers: 2–3 days
-
Teeth whitening: 1 day in-office + 10 days home whitening (at night)
Dental Implants – What to Expect?
If the bone is in good condition, the implant can be placed immediately, but the crown is made in a second phase.
First phase:
-
7-day visit to Serbia
-
Implant placement (root part)
-
Follow-up and suture removal
Healing takes 4–6 months. In the meantime, a temporary tooth can often be provided—especially for visible front teeth.
Second phase:
-
10-day visit to Serbia
-
Crown or bridge placed on the implant
In some cases, it’s possible to extract the tooth and place the implant in one visit.
Follow-Up and Adjustments
After the final work is done, we recommend staying in Novi Sad for a few more days. This gives us time to make any needed adjustments:
-
Bite correction if you feel early contact
-
Smoothing sore spots from new dentures
-
Checking wound healing after extraction
We also recommend that you avoid traveling right after oral surgery.
At the end of treatment, you’ll receive detailed instructions for oral care. Annual checkups and professional cleanings are essential.
