Broken dental crown
After a car accident, my zirconia crown broke. It’s part of a bridge on my upper jaw (covering the front 6 teeth). Is it possible to repair just the broken crown, or does the entire bridge need to be redone?

Only after a clinical examination and an X-ray can it be determined whether the tooth can be saved. In some cases, even when it seems that a large portion of the tooth is missing, it is still possible to restore and save it from extraction.
Pain during treatment

Toxavit was placed in my tooth, and after three days, I began experiencing severe pain. The next day, the tooth was cleaned, the nerve removed, and medication was placed. I was told there was no inflammation. However, the pain has become even worse. The dentist says it’s due to irritation, since the nerve wasn’t numbed before removal. Today, on the second day after cleaning, I had an X-ray taken by another dentist, who also said everything looks fine and there is no inflammation.
Still, I feel pain, pressure in my gums and cheeks, and a pulsating sensation in or above the tooth. I’m worried something might go wrong. Any advice?

Issue after wisdom tooth surgery

Today, I noticed that some darker-colored tissue is protruding from the socket, as if the wound has filled in. About half an hour later, after drinking lemonade, that tissue seemed to retract. Bridge on front teeth
Hello, I have a question. Three of my teeth are broken — one lateral incisor and two central incisors. My dentist recommended a zirconium bridge because one of the central incisors is shorter, and a single crown would not hold properly. I wanted to ask if this is a good solution and whether the bridge will be durable, considering these are front teeth. Your answer would mean a lot. Thank you.
Is it necessary to perform a root canal?

I would like your opinion on whether it is necessary to perform a root canal before placing a crown. Also, is it better to make a circular bridge for the entire upper jaw or to create the bridge in segments? I’m asking in case there is an inflammation under one of the crowns, so the entire circular bridge doesn’t have to be removed.
If the tooth is healthy, there is no need to remove the nerve before placing a crown.
As for the circular bridge—if the static conditions allow it—it is always better to make the bridge in segments.
Gum recession with new crown
Good day, I had zirconium crowns placed three weeks ago, and by the 5th day, my gums had already receded around the upper right canine. The edge of the crown, which the gums should cover, is now exposed. The area is sensitive and bleeds when I brush it. I don’t understand why the gums receded so quickly, and I’m wondering if there’s a chance they might recover, or if you could perhaps recommend a gel for the gums?

No gum gel could help in this situation. We recommend that you visit your dentist for a check-up, so they can determine, based on an examination, why this gum issue appeared so soon after crown placement.
Zirconia crown adjustment
Good day, I had zirconia crowns placed two weeks ago, and there’s a sharp area on my lateral incisor, near the central incisor, that bothers me. It slightly injures the inside of my lip, feels rough, and is uncomfortable. I’d like to know if it can be smoothed or polished without removing the crown, and without ruining the natural look of it. Swelling after wisdom tooth extraction
Dear doctor, three days ago I had a surgical extraction of my lower left wisdom tooth. Before the extraction, I didn’t have pain, just mild cheek swelling. During the examination, the doctor diagnosed an infection and prescribed antibiotics. The tooth was extracted six days later, while the infection was still present. On the second morning after the extraction, the swelling was worse than the day before. The dentist examined the wound, cleaned it a bit, and prescribed a stronger antibiotic. The swelling has slightly reduced, but there’s still a part of the jaw that feels very hard. Is it normal for the swelling to feel so firm? I didn’t have any pain before the extraction, and I don’t have any now, but the swelling concerns me.
Fistula after tooth surgery
I’ve had dental surgery 5 or 6 times, and I keep getting pus-filled fistulas under my nose. Right after the surgery, I feel better, but then after a month or two, it happens again. What could be causing this pus, and why does it keep coming back?

Dear patient, a 3D scan is needed, and an oral surgeon should examine you. If the teeth cannot be treated in a way that prevents new fistulas from forming, they may need to be extracted.
